The History of the Yorkshire Terrier by Mrs. Joan Gordon is posted online by the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America and is quite comprehensive, extending back more than 120 years. It includes an extensive bibliography of reference materials.The Breed Standard was adopted in 1966. It can also be found on the AKC and YTCA websites. A change to the standard was approved by the membership of the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America in July 2007 and became effective in October.
